Purnima Kochikar is Vice President, Forum Nokia and Developer Community. At Nokia, Kochikar is responsible for strategy and growth opportunities with Nokia’s third party developers to create a vibrant Nokia ecosystem.

| Kochikar joined Nokia in 2003, and worked as Senior Product Manager for Multimedia Solutions in Nokia mobile phones, and Director, Strategy and Business Development for Enterprise Solutions, and Director, Market Readiness for Consumer Messaging, before taking on her current role. At Nokia, Kochikar has been recognized for her contributions to the mobile messaging business. |

Prior to Nokia, Kochikar led Product Marketing for Watercove Networks, a venture funded startup acquired by Alcatel. Prior to Watercove, Kochikar held various technical and engineering management positions at Verizon. Before Verizon, Kochikar founded and managed a computer services business in India, and grew the business from 5 to 500 students and tripled revenues each year for three years.

| Kochikar earned a MBA with honors from Harvard Business School and an MS in Computer Science from University of Maryland, where she was initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi and the Upsilon Pi Epsilon honor societies. In her spare time, Kochikar serves as an advisor to technical startups, and volunteers at non-profit institutions focused on K-12 education. |
